The founders of Forney Islamic Center (FIC) left the current mosque to establish a new center that reflects our community's values and addresses its evolving needs. Despite efforts to maintain transparency and organization, challenges arose within the previous organization, leading us to believe that establishing FIC was the best path forward to better serve our community.
The establishment of FIC is not about creating another mosque but about fulfilling a vital need in our community. Our area is experiencing rapid growth, and our current facilities are unable to accommodate the increasing number of worshippers, especially during important gatherings like Jummah prayers. FIC aims to provide a larger, more inclusive space where everyone can come together to worship, learn, and grow.
